Step into the magical world of Pandora: The World of Avatar – an entirely new land opening at Disney's Animal Kingdom on May 27th, 2017. Modelled after James Cameron's groundbreaking film, Avatar, you'll find all the amazing scenery made famous by the film. Floating mountains, bio-luminescent plants and spectacular creatures all await you at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
The land features two major attractions:
Na'vi River Journey
Journey through the Kasvapan River on this spectacular boat ride. Along the way, you will experience the magical fauna of Pandora and come face to face with a Na'vi shaman. The ride features one of the most lifelike audio animatronics ever produced by Disney. A few select bloggers were recently invited to experience the ride for themselves ahead of the new land opening. Take a look for yourself in the video below:
Avatar: Flight of Passage
Ride on the back of a Banshee as you soar above the world of Pandora. This groundbreaking new ride features an entirely new ride system, unlike any ride you'll have ever experienced before. Entering through an intricate cave system, you will learn about the history of the Na'vi. After making your way through the caves you will enter an abandoned Resources Development Administration facility. Here, you will be linked up with an Avatar and experience the flight of your life on the back of a Banshee.
Dining at the Satu'li Canteen
Pandora: The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom will be home to some extraordinary dining experiences. The Satu'li Canteen (pictured above) will serve a wide range of Na'vi-inspired cuisine, including freshly made Bao buns, salads and the famous blue cheesecake.
No matter what you are into, there is something new to discover at Pandora: The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
