We have found a cheap New York holiday deal from British Airways, including flights and 3 nights hotel stay, from only £578 per person.

The cheapest deals are available from November onwards staying at the Aloft Hotel in Brooklyn. I stayed there last summer after winning a Pepsi competition and can highly recommend the hotel. The Aloft is part of the wider Starwood group of hotels, and is the economy version of the W Hotel. While it's not located right in the heart of Manhattan, it only takes 10-15 minutes door to door on the subway to get to Downtown. You could also choose to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge which doesn't take much longer. There's a couple of sights near the hotel, including the Brooklyn Brewery and the fantastic Smorgasbord food market. The rooms are comfortable and there's a nice roof terrace, which hosts parties and events on certain nights. Each room features air conditioning, comfortable king-size beds and 9 foot ceilings. Your room also contains a large flatscreen TV with a large choice of channels and complimentary magazines.

The hotel is within easy reach of JFK by cab. The benefit of this is that New York City has a set fare for transport between the airport and hotels, so you won't be slapped with a huge fare at the end of your ride. Brooklyn is one of the trendiest areas in NEw York, with lots of cafes and independent shops. And while the TV show, Girls, may have made you think it's all hipsters and dance parties in Brooklyn, the borough is also known for its strong family oriented spirit.
